Join us from the campus pub, Ram in the Rye, where our reporters await the final tally for the 2015 Ryerson Students' Union elections. Voting took place Feb. 9 - 11 and the polls closed at 5:30 p.m. today.

Unite Ryerson’s VP education candidate has been under fire for applauding the killing of New York police officers on social media. “Is it bad of me that I applaud the killing of the two cops in NYC?” he posted to his private Facebook account.
He also wrote “Cops got killed? Good. It’s a false flag operation resulting in cops dying? Good. #Brooklyn” in a tweet on his private Twitter account.Of the posts, Mohamed said: “The killing of all these innocent black people was very hard for me because I also suffer from racial profiling. I categorically, unequivocally condemn the use of violence in any situation and the harm of innocent people.”

Bartlett is now in the lead. She told The Ryersonian that her top three goals if elected as president are:
1. Communication and financial transparency
2.Lobby to decrease financial document fees and increase members in financial aid offices
3.Create a mutually beneficial relationship between the Canadian Federation of Students and the RSU -

Transform RU sweeps the 2015 RSU elections
Ryersonian.caTweetChange has rolled across the campus from Church St. and Mutual St. to College Park. Every executive candidate from the Transform RU slate has won, starting with the Andrea Bartlett, who will become president of the Ryerson Students’ Union.
