It was an inspiring night on campus for many journalism and radio and television students at Ryerson, as local radio icon, Matt Galloway offered his advice.

"They're here because they want your job." That's what Suanne Kelman, Associate Chair of Ryerson Journalism, said to Matt Galloway, CBC's Metro Morning host, as he sat down to speak to an audience at the Rogers Communications Center this evening.

 has been working at CBC Radio for more than 10 years. He has hosted the programs Here & Now, The Current, and Sounds Like Canada  and has quickly become a local icon. 

Galloway touched on a variety of subjects at the conference, which included how to dodge bad interviews, engage in social media and find work-life balance.

One gentleman asked Galloway if he'd ever consider entering politics in the near future.
